A closer look at Part V Grounding of Article 690 - System Grounding, Equipment Grounding and Grounding Electrode System
About the Presenter: Christine Porter conducts Field Evaluations for Intertek to determine compliance of unlisted equipment to determine essential compliance with national standards. In addition she is a nationally accredited electrical instructor with over 40 years of experience in providing educational classes and seminars relating to installations that are in accordance with the National Electrical Code. She serves on Code Making Panel No 5 for NFPA 70, National Electrical Code and was recently appointed to NFPA 780, Standard for the Installation of Lightning Protection Systems. She is an active member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and currently serves as the Education Chair and 5th vice president for the Northwest Section.

Download the current list of companies that are acceptable to the City of San Diego for the field evaluation of non-listed electrical equipment, testing of ground fault protection for equipment, and testing of medium voltage wiring and equipment. Verify the scope of the evaluation company’s recognition for testing of non-listed equipment.
